A photo and film studio website with a cinematic feel. Video on the first screen, expressive typography and movement tie together the photographs, the films and the story of the studio.
Challenge
Bring photography and film together in one portfolio. Create a memorable first contact with the studio while keeping the work easy to browse and the way to an inquiry clear.
Solution
A looping background video, a menu that inverts its colors, a photo gallery and a film viewer. As you scroll, you pass through a camera viewfinder: a flash turns a wide scene into a vertical color print on a black-and-white background. On a phone, the complex scene is replaced by a calmer composition.
A moment becomes a photograph.
